Fizdale isn´t concerned about Knicks´ losing streak

21 November 2018 01:24

David Fizdale is not concerned about the New York Knicks' losing streak.

New York have opened the season with a 4-13 record and dropped their fifth straight game when they fell to the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

Fizdale, the first-year Knicks coach, was asked about his team's struggles when he met with reporters Monday.

"We know the win-loss category is going to change when we become a better basketball team," Fizdale said (via the New York Daily News). "So, we're not putting all our stock in wins and losses right now and our group understands that.

"That's not an easy thing to come to terms with when it comes to your ego and stuff. It doesn't mean you're accepting losses, but it just means you have to be real about what you are."

The Knicks are one of the youngest teams in the NBA and have been playing without star Kristaps Porzingis, who is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in early February.

New York will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
