Minute   Description
Until then however, thank you for joining us and have a good week!
Both sides will be keenly watching the result of Juventus versus Manchester United later today in the other Group H clash - and it will be Valencia who tangle with the Serie A champions next, travelling to Turin in just under three weeks. Young Boys remain on the road too. They'll play United at Old Trafford on the same day, November 27.
90'+2 Torres goes airborne after tripping over Lauper in pursuit of the ball. Valencia get the free-kick but no card is forthcoming for the Young Boys man.
90' There will be four added minutes of injury time.
89' Neither attack or defence are able to deal cleanly with the set-piece's follow-up, resulting in a second corner - and this time, Neto claims with a degree of comfort.
88' Mbabu earns another corner for the visitors now, though time is running out to make a comeback.
87' Valencia make their final change with Kondogbia making way for Vezo.
86' Young Boys win themselves a corner out on the right wing but the delivery is poor and Valencia get the free-kick after it is bundled out on the edge of the box.
81' There's still more cards to come, it seems. Soler is now shown the yellow for nipping at Benito's heels.
79' There's a delay while Coquelin is treated for his injury - it was a nasty blow - and the game then resumes play with the Valencia man able to continue.
77' Red card for Sanogo! It's a straight red card for the Young Boys player after he spins around to chase a loose ball and brings his foot straight into the kneecap of Coquelin. The visitors will have to play out the rest of this game a man down.
75' Young Boys make a change now; Hoarau makes way for Aebischer.
Valencia make another substitution, replacing Guedes with Torres.
73' Benito half-volleys a cut-back pass wide around the left post from the edge of the box. Young Boys are refusing to give up, knowing how vital it is they get something here to keep their Champions League dream alive for this season.
71' Valencia have a chance ruled out now; Rodrigo breaks loose into the Young Boys box seeking a ball from Guedes, only to be flagged offside by the linesman.
69' Sanogo tries his luck from distance now, cracking a shot over the crossbar from 25 yards away.
68' Double goalscorer Santi Mina has played his part; he is replaced by Valencia with Gameiro.
67' Von Bergen is booked for a poor tackle on Santi Mina now, born of frustration more than anything else.
Young Boys are throwing everything they can at the Valencia box, pressuring the hosts on all sides - yet the last pass from Sanogo can't find its way back to Assale and the attack breaks down.
65' Gabriel concedes a corner for Valencia, blocking a cross from Assale curled in off the right; the hosts defend it easily enough and win a free-kick of their own for a foul by Sulejmani a moment later.
63' Benito leans in on Soler just inside the opposition half, catching him across the back of the foot and Valencia get the free-kick.
61' Fassnacht is now replaced by Young Boys as they introduce Nsame.
60' Offside against Assale! A blistering counter-attack by Young Boys from the corner completely leaves Valencia in the dust - but the linesman deems that Fassnacht's final pass catches the striker ahead of the defence. It's a marginal call and the visitors don't look like they can believe it.
59' Another Young Boys foul, this time on Guedes, gives Valencia a set-piece chance 30 yards out on the left. Sow is the man to head it away; corner to the hosts.
57' Lauper is the latest Young Boys player to end up in the book, this time for a reckless challenge on Santi Mina.
56' Soler deserved that goal, though whether Young Boys deserve to be two down is another matter. They've fully played their part in this game and despite their discipline issues, they've not been terrible at the back, at least no worse than their hosts. Rodrigo gets the assist for his lovely short pass.
SOLER MAKES IT THREE FOR VALENCIA! 3-1! The midfielder finally gets his goal after one shot off the post and one assist, racing down the right flank off a pass from Rodrigo and blasting it under Von Ballmoos into the bottom-left corner. A clinical, classy finish to put the hosts in full control of this tie now.
55' Fassnacht could have done better there; the Young Boys midfielder cracks off a shot from just outside the box on the right and curls it entirely the wrong way by some distance.
53' What a tackle by Benito! It's a lovely clean take inside his own box on Soler as the Valencia man rampages towards goal, curling under his feet to push the ball away. Some great defence by the Young Boys man.
51' Rodrigo breezes away down the right flank for Valencia once more but is caught by the linesman as he chases a throughball down the edge of the box.
48' Starting as we left off, Von Bergen gets penalised for a hasty challenge on halfway, though he avoids a booking this time round.
46' We're back underway for the second half of this Champions League clash. Do Young Boys have another equaliser up their sleeves? Or can Valencia hold onto their lead again?
Young Boys have made a change at the break; Ngamaleu, on a yellow card, is replaced by Sulejmani.
Will either side be keen to make changes at half-time? They're both turning out some great attacking football - but the sheer number of bookings flying around might perhaps force some early swaps to avoid being reduced to 10 men.
Three goals and five yellow cards is the story of a busy first half at Mestalla - but it's the hosts who are in the lead heading into the break. Two goals for Santi Mina, either side of a great Roger Assale strike means that Valencia have got the better of Young Boys so far in a pulsating encounter - but if the second half is like the first, then it's anybody's guess who will walk away with the points. At half-time, it's Valencia 2-1 Young Boys.
45' There will be one added minute of time in this first half.
42' Soler, who perhaps should have had that first goal were it not for the post, has been running the show in midfield for Valencia. He's arguably their star man so far.
TWO FOR SANTI MINA! 2-1 TO VALENCIA! It's another well-worked goal for the hosts with a lovely, deft finish by the striker. Wass, deep out on the right wing near the corner post, cuts it back to Soler who sweeps a cross in to the six-yard box - and nipping out of the defensive huddle, the striker turns it past Von Ballmoos with a nudge of his right foot. Wonderful stuff.
40' Another Ngamaleu foul on Wass gives Valencia a set-piece chance out wide on the right; Von Ballmoos sees off the danger however and then Wass himself is penalised to give Young Boys a free-kick in their own half.
38' Play resumes with yet another yellow card as Benito nips at Soler's heels. There's definitely some contact but it seems a rather soft one on the whole.
37' Fassnacht could have perhaps gone for goal himself but knew Assale would offer a sharper finish and duly turned it to him. It's a selfless assist and a vital one too.
ASSALE LEVELS FOR YOUNG BOYS! 1-1! Penalty or no penalty, he doesn't need it! A breakaway move from halfway sees Fassnacht released down the right flank into the box and he cuts it back neatly to the striker on his left. The Ivory Coast international keeps his shot low and drills it beyond the reach of Neto, into the far-bottom corner and wheels away in celebration. It's all square at Mestalla.
36' Is there a penalty claim there for Young Boys? The set-piece tipped in from the left edge of the penalty area is pushed back into open play but the visitors think Assale might have been fouled in the box.
35' There's now a free-kick down the other end for Young Boys, albeit this time for a handball against Wass. Even then though, there's still a booking; this time for Mbabu as his jostling in the box gets rather violent.
33' Guedes takes the free-kick for Valencia from 30 yards or so out on the left and just pulls it past the near post.
32' Rodrigo harks off down the left flank and is subsequently splayed across the turf by a challenge from Ngamaleu. There's no card this time; the Young Boys man is perhaps lucky to avoid a second yellow.
30' Another yellow card now, this time for Gaya after he times a slide tackle badly and sends Mbabu flying. These fouls are getting a bit ridiculous.
29' A neat throughball for Santi Mina beats the striker and Von Ballmoos cleans up for the visitors at the back.
27' Back-to-back free-kicks for Valencia following back-to-back fouls on Coquelin on Hoarau. Young Boys are looking scrappy off the ball so far.
22' Now Santi Mina himself is shown a yellow card for a foul after a shoddy challenge on Mbabu. This has been a rather ill-tempered game so far.
21' Another foul against Young Boys, this time against Sanogo after he sweeps into the side of Santi Mina and jolts the Valencia man's head with his upper thigh.
18' That's not great from Ngamaleu. The Young Boys player is booked for a foul off the ball after he sends Soler sprawling following a Valencia counter-attack on the back of a soft corner by the visitors. Rodrigo cut straight through the midfield but play is brought back following the card.
17' It's almost all square as Hoarau turns and fires inside the box a moment later though; his shot is blocked by the defence and sent flying out for a corner on the left.
16' Young Boys were cut open easily there and they look to offer an instant response. Ngamaleu however is flagged offside after Assale slips him a throughball.
14' SANTI MINA GIVES VALENCIA THE LEAD! 1-0! It's a bit of a poacher's goal for the striker but he won't care. Rodrigo makes a breathless run down the right wing and back inside, slotting it through to Soler. The Spaniard chips it over the keeper only to see his effort rebound off the far post - but the former Celta man is there to blast it home at close range. The hosts are in front inside the opening 15 minutes.
11' The set-piece pings across both sides of the box as Young Boys successfully defend and then Assale manages to whisk the visitors to halfway with a nippy counter-attack.
10' Valencia win the first corner of the night and then win a free-kick out on the left edge of the penalty area following a foul on Guedes by Fassnacht.
8' Now it's the turn of Young Boys to be flagged offside as Hoarau is caught by the linesman creeping into the box after Lauper's pass.
6' Rodrigo now leans in on Sanogo with a hefty challenge and concedes the free-kick, though Valencia get one of their own a moment later following a foul by Mbabu.
4' Offside against Rodrigo! It's just as well for Young Boys; some poor play in midfield allowed Kondogbia to wrestle back possession and his throughball found the striker unmarked and in space.
2' It's a sparky opening from both sides as shots are exchanged in the opening seconds. The hosts see an early set-piece chance slip through their fingers after Santi Mina’s follow-up is saved, and Sow subsequently whips a shot wide at the other end for the visitors.
1' Assale kicks off and we are underway in this 2018-19 Champions League Group H encounter between Valencia and Young Boys!
The teams are out at Mestalla for the Champions League anthem.
Valencia however are winless in six Champions League matches, their worst run since October 2011.
Valencia have a 100 percent win record against Swiss sides at home in European competition, winning six out of six and scoring 28 goals across those wins. Their most recent win was a 5-0 hammering of FC Basel in the Europa League in April 2014.
Subs: Thorsten Schick, Leonardo Bertone, Michel Aebischer, Miralem Sulejmani, Mohamed Ali Camara, Jean-Pierre Nsame, Marco Wolfli.

Both sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in Bern last month, with Guillaume Hoarau’s penalty cancelling out Michy Batshuayi’s opener. Will there be goals galore this time out?
Neither side has been able to truly ignite their European campaigns this season, but both can sniff the opportunity to put themselves firmly in the race for the last 16 with victory today. Valencia can – if at least briefly – put themselves into the top two with three points, before Juventus and Manchester United square off later.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2018-19 Champions League as Valencia and Young Boys face off in search of a first win of the tournament at Mestalla.
