Minute   Description
Both sides face contrasting challenges next weekend in the Premier League, with Watford returning home to host struggling Burnley while Palace face the daunting challenge of a trip to Hodgson's old club, league leaders Liverpool. Until then however, thank you for joining us – and have a good weekend!
90'+4 Wan-Bissaka is tripped by Cleverley and though the free-kick comes to nothing, a second break by Zaha wins Palace a late corner. Benteke can't steer it towards the box though and Watford break away! That will surely be it!
90'+3 Watford make their final change with Masina replacing Pereyra.
90'+1 Pereyra is shown a yellow card for timewasting now as Watford delay taking a free-kick inside the Palace half.
90' There will be at least four added minutes of injury time at Selhurst Park.
88' Confusion reigns for Palace after Zaha appears to be fouled and play is waved on. Watford look to capitalise with a superb break down the right wing and Hennessey is forced to charge 30 yards off his line to clear the danger.
86' Deulofeu takes the free-kick and simply crashes it into the defensive wall. Watford get the corner, but Palace clear and break, picking up a set-piece of their own after Milivojevic is fouled by Deeney.
84' Milivojevic brings down Deulofeu as the latter races towards the Palace box and Watford have a promising set-piece chance on the lip of the penalty area. The Eagles man meanwhile gets a yellow card.
83' Palace make their final change as Schlupp replaces Ayew.
Doucoure puts a shot high and wide to the right after he opts to go from distance. Watford are looking for a third to put this game to bed.
78' Palace make their second change, with Benteke coming on to play for the first time since September in place of McArthur.
74' CLEVERLEY GIVES WATFORD THE LEAD! 2-1! What a volley! Into the box comes a cross which neither Watford or Palace can latch onto – and then it falls to the substitute who catches it in mid-air, off the outside of his boot, and sends it flying into the top-left corner from 10 yards out. Beautiful stuff to put the Hornets in front for the first time!
68' The visitors make their second change now, replacing earlier substitute Sema with Cleverley.
67' Palace, in particular their keeper, just looked to switch off there. It's a tight angle to nod home from, so full credit to Cathcart for that excellent finish to a great set-piece from Holebas.
CATHCART PULLS IT BACK FOR WATFORD! 1-1! Two goals for two sides in the same match for the Hornets man as he redeems himself with what could be a vital effort. Holebas picks him out with a dipping corner at the far post and his deft touch sails beyond Hennessey. What a lifeline for the visitors!
65' Sema is handed a yellow card for that particular piece of defence too.
64' Watford pick up a corner of their own down the other end and Holebas curls it neatly in. Palace defend it stubbornly again and Townsend breaks on the counter-attack before Sema cuts him down with a reckless challenge.
61' Femenia picks up the first booking of the game after he bodychecks Zaha out wide on the left wing. The free-kick is cleared by Holebas but only for a corner.
60' Deulofeu turns a lovely cross in off the right wing that Tomkins deftly clears with an excellent header of his own. It's a far more open game than it was in the first half.
57' Further great invention from Zaha releases Van Aanholt on the left and Palace win themselves a corner off Mariappa. The hosts are unable to create a golden opportunity from it however, but the Hornets are looking rather nervy around the back right now.
55' After Zaha holds the ball in the edge of the box, a poor attempted clearance from Watford finds McArthur who sweeps it back in seeking Ayew at the right post. Foster comes off his line to collect and assuage the pressure on the visitors.
53' Doucoure whips a delivery into the box seeking Mariappa that the defender doesn't attempt to contest, seeing his chance for an attempt at a header sail away for a goal-kick.
51' Van Aanholt takes advantage of some loose Watford defending to glide through on that left flank again though he can't find Zaha in the box with his square cross.
49' Zaha has a second crack with a swift run in on the left side, only to send his effort sailing wide with a skewed touch.
47' Deulofeu and Sakho tussle as the Watford man races down the right wing, with the Palace defender conceding a corner in the end.
46' We're back underway in this Premier League encounter between Crystal Palace and Watford.
Having been forced to change his goalkeeper, does that seriously affect Roy Hodgson's plans for the rest of this match? He only has two swaps left for this game.
A messy own goal from Craig Cathcart following a scramble in the box is all that separates Crystal Palace and Watford at the break, though both sides have also been beset by early injuries. It's an evenly-poised game so far and the Hornets are not out of this yet. At half-time, it's Crystal Palace 1-0 Watford.
45'+3 Watford have a set-piece chance down the other end now, but the free-kick tipped into the box is shepherded out by Sakho easily enough for a goal-kick instead.
45'+2 Into the second of four added minutes at Selhurst Park and Milivojevic blasts an effort in from distance. It takes a deflection off Mariappa that Palace believe to be a handball, though the referee waves their calls away.
45' Palace make their first change now, with Guaita replaced by Hennessey.
44' There's a pause in play right now for an injury to Palace keeper Guaita – and it looks like the hosts might be forced into an early change.
42' Palace have only lost once in the Premier League this season after scoring the first goal, against West Ham.
40' Deulofeu looks to level things up immediately with a brilliant run down the left wing that leaves three defenders in his dust. His subsequent shot can only find the side netting though and the Eagles survive.
38' PALACE HAVE THE LEAD! 1-0! It's an utter scramble in the box with everyone trying to poke the ball around. A wicked deflection comes off Cathcart and the ball flies over the line before Foster parries it back out and a second deflection buries it in the roof of the net. There's some confusion as to whether the referee had called for a free-kick beforehand but the goal stands!
36' The set-piece leaves something to be desired but a second attack from the Hornets comes close to unlocking the Palace defence. Holebas skirts down the left wing and loops a great cross out to Deeney at the far post, who just directs his header the wrong side of the woodwork.
34' Sakho hacks away a deflected Pereyra shot with a rather wild effort that veers closer to his own goal than anywhere else. It's a corner for Watford in the end.
32' Deeney slips a throughball on for Deulofeu to square across to Pereyra in open space, though his fellow striker's control leaves something to be desired, allowing Palace to regather possession.
30' It's rather dour and overcast at Selhurst Park, which is a rather apt reflection of this game since the first five minutes. Neither side has burst into technicolour life the way Watford did in those early exchanges, with what has been a rather workmanlike performance from both so far.
28' Milivojevic tries to shoot from outside the box, only for his right-footed effort to crash off Holebas and fly back into open play.
26' Kouyate looks to fire one in from distance and instead finds the back of the stand behind the goal with a speculative effort.
24' Holebas concedes a corner after Sema forces the Watford defence into reverse with some sharp attacking play, only for Kouyate to concede a free-kick in the box for raising his leg too high.
22' Ayew with the header! Down the other end, Palace just miss a chance after the striker pushes Milivojevic's cross wide to the left of the post.
21' A pair of lapses in the Palace defence invites Deeney to try long-range counter-attacks seeking Deulofeu, but both times, Guaita is ready to receive the ball as it skitters ahead of the pursuing forward.
19' Watford make their first change now, bringing on Sema to replace Hughes.
18' Sakho staunchly defends the free-kick and the follow-up cross with a pair of deft headers to put Palace back on the front foot. There's some ongoing discussions of a rather furious nature between Hughes and the Watford bench, with the midfielder looking set to be replaced early after that knock in the opening few minutes.
17' Deulofeu slides through on the right side of the box again, cutting back a pass that Tomkins clears neatly enough. McArthur then concedes a free-kick though, giving Watford a prime chance to pump a set-piece back into the penalty area.
13' Capoue clips Zaha with a trailing leg now in midfield as he looks to arrest the progress of the Palace striker. The free-kick into the Watford box falls best for the hosts however who counter briskly, with Sakho managing to cut off their progress on the edge of the centre circle.
11' Zaha is released down the left wing and cuts back inside to squeak a low shot past Hughes. It bobbles kindly for Foster who collects with relative ease at the near post.
9' This has been a robust opening series of encounters between the two sides, with Palace having looked to settle their nerves after that early flurry of pressure from the Hornets.
7' Milivojevic is the man given responsibility for the set-piece but his delivery into the box is too heavy handed, flying beyond both attackers and defenders and duly out for a goal-kick.
6' Down the other end, the hosts make their first attacking foray of the game and win a free-kick of their own out on the right wing after Townsend is clipped by Capoue.
4' Pereyra has a chance to keep the pressure up on Palace with a free-kick just a few yards outside the left edge of the penalty area. He opts to try and curl it into the far top corner, and skews the ball out poorly as a result.
2' Now Hughes gets a little knock as Palace successfully defend a number of attempted strikes from outside the box, blocking the attempts neatly and successfully.
There's an early delay in proceedings after Deeney catches Kouyate across the face. The Hornets come away with the free-kick instead however, giving them a set-piece chance.
1' We are underway in this Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Watford!
The teams are out at Selhurst Park and we are moments away from kick-off.
Subs: Isaac Success, Ken Sema, Domingos Quina, Heurelho Gomes, Adam Masina, Miguel Britos, Tom Cleverley.
WATFORD (4-4-2): Ben Foster; Kiko Femenia, Adrian Mariappa, Craig Cathcart, Jose Holebas; Will Hughes, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Etienne Capoue, Roberto Pereyra; Gerard Deulofeu, Troy Deeney.
Subs: Wayne Hennessey, Martin Kelly, Max Meyer, Jeffrey Schlupp, Joel Ward, Connor Wickham, Christian Benteke.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-3-3): Vicente Guaita; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, James Tomkins, Mamadou Sakho, Patrick van Aanholt; Cheikhou Kouyate, Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur; Andros Townsend, Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha.
Javi Gracia's visitors have faced a marginally easier run of fixtures across the last month, but defeat to Chelsea and draws with Newcastle and Bournemouth has seen them slip a little in pursuit of a European place. They sit only two points off seventh-place Leicester City though, meaning another win would keep them firmly in the race.
Roy Hodgson's Eagles have been in rather excellent form across their last six games, winning four and losing only once, with a plum victory over champions Manchester City among those results. They're still only six points ahead of the bottom three though and a win against the Hornets would be a major boost to their hopes of retaining top-flight status.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2018-19 Premier League as Crystal Palace look to put some further distance between them and the relegation dogfight below against Watford at Selhurst Park.
