Minute   Description
Thanks for joining us again tonight. Goodbye!
Deportivo will need to regroup immediately as they continue their fight to stay in the top flight but it was always going to be an uphill struggle.
Two goals each from Suarez and Paulinho get the job done for Barca, but in reality it could have been 8-0 tonight. The home side hit the post on numerous occasions and Messi was just unlucky in front of goal. It was the perfect warm-up for the El Clasico next week, with Valverde's men six points clear at the top of the table!
FULL-TIME Barcelona 4-0 Deportivo.
90'+1 Two minutes of stoppage time are given.
90' Deportivo substitute Borja Valle nearly makes an impact off the bench but his shot from distance is blocked for a corner and Barcelona can clear their lines.
88' Messi takes a corner and tries to score at the near post but he can only fire wide of goal. It remains 4-0!
87' Into the closing stages now and Barca's fans are desperate for Messi to get his goal. Suarez wants three and they may get another chance or two to make amends.
84' Apart from hitting the side netting, Gil has been quiet and he is now brought off. On comes Borja Valle for Deportivo.
Starting to lose count of how many times Barcelona have hit the post but Suarez joins the long list. He is a little greedy but with a potential hat-trick you cannot blame him but he slices a shot onto the post and we await the fifth goal!
81' Vidal finds himself in a good position in the Deportivo box and he chests down a hanging cross but the minute he shoots the crowd are left disappointed as he finds row Z.
Substitution Jordi Alba Ramos Lucas Digne
80' Messi can only look into the crowd in amazement as he thrashes a left-footed snapshot into the stands. Suarez's ball was inch-perfect but the crowd continue to wait for a Messi goal.
75' PAULINHOOOO - Barcelona 4-0 Deportivo! The former Tottenham man is fortunate to grab his second after Alba's strike pings off the post. However, this time Paulinho seems to fall into the rebound and he smiles as the team celebrate!
74' It's starting to look like Messi may have to settle for a night without a goal. He is too quick for the Deportivo defence but then his feet get tangled and after trodding on the ball Deportivo clear down field.
70' NOOOOOOOO he's missed and the home crowd cannot believe it. He decides to go for power and it is saved!
BARCA PENALTY - Now Suarez is chopped down...can Messi score here?
69' Suarez springs the offside trap and charges towards goal but Ruben dives at his feet to claw away the ball and deny the Uruguayan a hat-trick. What a save that is!
68' Messi again goes close to scoring but this time his stinging drive misses the top corner and Deportivo's defence breathe a sigh of relief.
67' MESSI OFF THE POST - The fan favourite decides to shoot from a free-kick and he gets his effort over the wall and towards goal but it clatters the post. That's three times he has now been denied by the woodwork!
66' Deportivo are still not getting much joy with the ball at their feet but they will be pleased to see Barcelona struggling to click in the final third. That could change at any minute of course!
63' Midfielder Emre Çolak has had a quiet night and he is now replaced by Zakaria Bakkali.
Deportivo make their first change as Federico Valverde replaced Fernando Navarro.
62' Suarez goes down in the area and he is looking for a penalty but the referee ignores his claims and the game moves on!
60' Barcelona's constant attacks have dried up a little in the last few minutes and maybe their players are feeling the pace for the first time.
56' Iniesta is the first man off and Andre Gomes comes on for the final 30 minutes of action.
55' Deportivo winger Carles Gil goes close with a long-range effort but he can only fire his shot into the side netting and it remains 3-0.
54' Barcelona have one final game left before the winter break, where they will take on bitter rivals Real Madrid in El Clasico. Valverde will be expected to rest his key stars in order to keep them fresh for that mammoth tie.
51' Messi continues to cause problems and he pops up in space but Deportivo's defence charges at him and he cannot find a way through!
49' A defensive mix-up from Deportivo allows Messi and Suarez to spring into action but Messi sees a left-footed shot blocked from inside the area.
47' Sergi Roberto claims the assist and he should be proud of that low curling delivery to the left-hand side of the box.
GOAAALLLL 3-0! What a start to the second-half from Barca and Suarez gets his second of the game. He peels away at the far post and stays onside before placing his effort past Ruben at the near post.
46' The game is back underway at the Nou Camp.
Deportivo look slow in possession and they cannot seem to stop Barca's midfield. This could get ugly, join us for more coverage shortly!
The referee blows to stop Barcelona's onslaught but it could easily be four-nil at the Nou Camp. Messi has been so unlucky to hit the woodwork twice and Suarez's goal did look to be over the line. However, on the positive side they have dominated their opposition and will look to kick on in the second 45 minutes.
Half-time - Barcelona 2-0 Deportivo.
45' RUBEN to the rescue!!!!! Messi bursts into the area and fires in a cross for Suarez who jumps in the air to volley home but somehow Ruben hooks it clear. Some of the ball looked over the line but Barca's fans are adamant that went in! Still 2-0.
44' Half-time is nearly upon us and it's been brilliant viewing again for any Barcelona fan or lover of the beautiful game. Sensational football once again and they could be three or four up by now.
41' BARCELONA 2-0!!!! Paulinho is the man that gets the praise but Messi was a fraction away from claiming the goal himself. The Argentina international dances his way through the defence before hitting the post and Paulinho stays onside to finish from a tight angle.
Suarez's eyes light up as he latches onto a cross but he is soon left frustrated after the ball bounces away from him.
39' The visitors clear for the time being but Barca are going for a second before half-time and Messi is doing brilliantly to pick up so much free space.
38' Striker Lucas Perez shows signs of boredom up front on his own and now decides to come back to help out. The only problem is he tries a little too hard and brings down Messi and Barca can try and create something from a set piece.
37' OFF THE BAR!!!!! Messi smashes a rocket towards the top corner after that counter attack but he is left speechless as the ball cannons off the crossbar and away from the Deportivo box. Inches away from being 2-0.
36' Deportivo win a free-kick around 30 yards out and they try to play themselves into the Barca box but Ter Stegen is on hand to fly out of his goal and start an attack.
33' That opening goal will settle Barcelona down nicely and more importantly their fans. They were getting restless but now they will feel Valverde's side can get another before half-time.
32' Schar receives the first card of the game after hacking down Suarez when he was bursting forward down the left wing.
29' Messi claims another assist and it is far too easy for the home side as Suarez converts from six yards out.
GOAAAALLLL SUAREZ - Barcelona 1-0 up now and it is exactly what they have deserved. Messi beats the offside trap and he plays in Suarez who can't miss from close range, although Ruben did everything he could to stop him.
28' WHAT A SAVE - Ruben comes to the rescue for Deportivo again as he denies Aleix Vidal at the far post but the right-back will be annoyed that he aimed his shot straight at the keeper.
27' Messi sees another shot saved by Ruben who is having a good night so far but Barca are getting closer.
23' Alcacer looks emotional as he leaves the field of play and heads straight down the tunnel. On comes Aleix Vidal for Barca.
Alba nearly creates an opening down the left but Sidnei nips in to stop him from making any more metres.
21' Striker Paco Alcacer is back on his feet after going down injured and he is being clapped off and it looks like his night is over.
20' There's a break in play and that allows Valverde the chance to talk to centre-back Gerard Pique.
18' Boos ring around the stadium as Suarez does his best to latch onto a long ball but referee Antonio Mateu claims he barged into the back of Deportivo defender Fabian Schar.
14' Messi goes close again as he receives a pass from left-back Jordi Alba but he can't whip his curling shot into the far corner and Ruben is happy to dive to his left and save his team.
13' Those in attendance at the Nou Camp rise to their feet as Messi gets his head down and dribbles his way to the edge of the area but Sidnei sticks out his leg to poke the ball away.
11' Deportivo register their first shot on target after Lucas Perez tries his luck but Marc-Andre ter Stegen is given enough time to get his body behind the effort and he clears the danger.
9' A sensational bit of control from Sergi Roberto helps him find Suarez down the right wing but the former Liverpool man can only win a corner. Deportivo do well to clear and now Barca are forced to bring the ball out from their own half.
8' Both teams have set a great tempo in the first few minutes and the likes of Suarez and Iniesta look well up for this.
7' DISALLOWED goal for the home side as Luis Suarez taps into the net but the linesman claims he was offside before he latched onto a cross.
6' Valverde's men have settled down after a quiet few minutes and Deporitvo are struggling to get the ball off them.
4' HUGE CHANCE - The home side work the ball into the box down the right wing and a cutback from Iniesta finds Lionel Messi but he leans back and fires over the bar. That should be 1-0 already.
3' Two free-kicks have already been awarded to Barcelona and both were for fouls on Andres Iniesta, potentially a sign of things to come.
2' Deportivo have not started with everyone behind the ball by the looks of things with at least two players in the Barca half in the early stages.
1' We're underway at the Nou Camp.
The two teams are out on the field and we are minutes away from kick off.
Valverde makes two changes to his side following the win over Villarreal. Sergio Busquets and Denis Suarez drop out and in come Andres Iniesta and Paco Alcacer. Deportivo boss Cristobal sticks with the same starting XI that beat Leganes but he may look to his bench to keep his team nice and fresh as they prepare to press the Barca attacks.
Deportivo SUBS: Tyton, Mosquera, Albentosa, Luisinho, Valverde, Bakkali, Valle.
Deportivo Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Ruben, Juanfran, Sidnei, Schar, Navarro, Borges, Guilherme, Gil, Colak, Adrian, Perez.
Barcelona SUBS: Busquets, Denis Suarez, Cillessen, Mascherano, Digne, Gomes, Vidal.
Barcelona Starting XI (4-3-3): Ter Stegen, Roberto, Pique, Vermaelen, Alba, Rakitic, Paulinho, Iniesta, Messi, Luis Suarez, Alcacer.
Tonight's team news coming up...
Deportivo have won two of their last five outings and they sit just outside the relegation zone but there's bound to nerves within their dressing room. They did record a 1-0 win over Leganes in their last league game but that was a much easier challenge than today's task.
Ernesto Valverde's side remain unbeaten in all competitions this season, with their last defeat coming in the Spanish Super Cup to Real Madrid. They have a three point cushion ahead of kick-off but that can be stretched to six with a victory. Barca were last in action last week and they proved too much for Villarreal and secured a 2-0 win.
Good evening and welcome along to tonight's La Liga text commentary of Barcelona vs Deportivo La Coruna. The visitors face a real uphill challenge tonight as they prepare to try and beat the league leaders at the Nou Camp.
