Minute   Description
Thank you for joining us today, enjoy the rest of your evening!
PSG turn on the style away at Rennes to clinch an impressive 4-1 victory to move nine points clear at the top of Ligue 1. It was a thrilling game, plenty of excitement, goals and sending's off as both teams had a man sent off for two yellow cards. The superb front three of PSG all getting on the scoresheet, Neymar with two and goals from Mbappe and Cavani. Mubélé scoring a consolation goal for the hosts who were second best for much of the game.
90'+2 That's the full-time whistle!
90' There will be a minimum of two minutes of added time played here.
PENALTY MISSED! Terrible penalty by Wahbi Khazri, he skies it high over the crossbar, nowhere near the goal and the Rennes supporters can't believe he hasn't even managed to get it on target. Awful strike.
89' RED CARD! Kimpembe is shown a second yellow for his foul on Léa-Siliki deep in the penalty area, both teams now down to 10 men. Rennes now have a chance to pull another goal back and make it 4-2.
PENALTY RENNES! Kimpembe fouls Léa-Siliki in the area as the Rennes man ran through on goal with just the keeper to beat, it was a poor challenge and the referee points to the spot, sending the PSG man off in the process.
87' CHANCE PSG! A wonderful run by Mbappe, he backed himself to go it alone, completely outpacing the Rennes defence and racing through on goal, firing a low shot at goal which forced Koubek into another diving save. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
85' The PSG away supporters are making all of the noise here now, the Rennes supporters are quiet as their side head to their first home defeat in five Ligue 1 games, after winning their last four.
83' PSG are cruising to victory now, utterly dominant once more in possession and their midfield duo of Marco Verratti and Thiago Motta are controlling the game.
80' Second PSG change of the game, with Giovani Lo Celso being replaced by Javier Pastore.
78' Wahbi is shown a yellow card for a poor challenge on Dani Alves, which the PSG players weren't too happy with.
76' Mbappé broke down the right-wing, showing his markers a clean pair of heels and he produced a fine ball to Neymar at the back post who simply couldn't miss from there.
ANOTHER PSG GOAL! They've opened up this Rennes defence once again and Neymar gets his second of the game, with Mbappe pulling the ball back to him at the far post, the Brazillian sliding in and firing the ball into an open goal. Terrific attack from PSG and they now lead 4-1, with plenty of time left on the clock to score even more!
75' Neymar with his second assist of the game, playing a good pass to Cavani who then produced an excellent finish to surely wrap this game up now.
GOOOAAALLL PSG! Cavani gets on the scoresheet, breaking his drought in front of goal and it was a terrific finish as well. Neymar the provider, Cavani didn’t need to take a touch as he lobbed the ball over the onrushing Rennes keeper, just dropping below the crossbar and into the back of the net.
74' PSG make their first substitution of the game, with Julian Draxler coming off and he has been replaced by Thiago Motta.
73' A poor yellow card to pick up by Giovani Lo Celso, he gave away a free-kick and then kicked the ball away in frustration.
72' CHANCE PSG! Dani Alves doing well down the right, getting in behind the Rennes defence down that wing and he squares the ball across goal looking for Cavani, the striker slides in to try and meet the ball but he doesn't quite get there, just inches away from it. Any touch and that would've been a goal.
71' Kimpembe is back on the pitch and PSG get their man advantage back, the centre-back is not a popular man here at the moment after Andre's sending off, plus he is on a yellow card of his own, so needs to be careful.
69' Kimpembe is down receiving treatment in the box here after a clash of heads with a fellow PSG player, it looks like Thiago Motta might be about to come on as a replacement.
67' CHANCE RENNES! Khazri manages to get past Kimpembe and sneak through on goal with just the keeper to beat, but he is under heavy pressure from the PSG centre-back. Khazri gets his shot away but Aerola makes himself and big and makes the stop. The Rennes striker feels he was pushed by the PSG man as he tried to take his shot, but the referee doesn't award anything.
66' Rennes make their third and final substitution of the game following the sending off. Morgan Amalfitano is the man coming off and he has been replaced by Jérémy Gelin.
63' HE'S OFF! Benjamin André is shown a second yellow card and he has been sent off! It was a late challenge on Kimpembe, trying to block the centre-backs pass forward, but he misses the ball and on the follow-through he catches Kimpembe. The referee shows no hesitation in issuing the yellow card and then the red, much to the fury of the Rennes players, staff and supporters.
62' Better movement from Rennes, they are creating a lot more opportunities and look far more dangerous going forward. PSG certainly have a game on their hands now and Unai Emery surely won't be too happy with his sides second half performance.
60' STAT: Rennes have won none of their last six home games against Paris in Ligue 1, two draws and four losses, after winning seven of their previous nine.
58' After a good opening to the second half, the pace of the game has dropped slightly now with PSG looking to retain control of possession and make sure Rennes don't try and get on the front foot and score an equaliser.
55' The second substitution for Rennes sees Romain Danzé head off the pitch, to be replaced by Adrien Hunou.
54' Rennes make their first change of the game, with the goalscorer coming off and he has been replaced by Wahbi Khazri.
Benjamin André is the latest player to be shown a yellow card by the referee this afternoon.
53' GOOOAAALLL RENNES PULL ONE BACK! The resulting corner sees the hosts get on the scoresheet and cut PSG’s advantage in half. Morgan Amalfitano gets his head to the corner, it strikes the post and then rolls along the line, before it is fired into the back of the net by Mubele. An easy finish for the Rennes man and a vital one here. Could they come away from this game with something now?
52' Free-kick to Rennes in an excellent shooting position, after Kimpembe fouls James Lea Siliki right on the edge of the penalty area. Benjamin Bourigeaud steps up to take it, but his strike is blocked by the wall and goes out for a corner.
51' Rennes are looking much better in the second half, enjoying spells of possession of their own and they certainly look more dangerous going forward, but PSG do seem to have taken their foot off the throttle, given their strong lead.
49' Good save! Koubek being forced into action once again here, with Neymar cutting inside from the left-wing and firing a curling effort at goal, but it isn't close enough to the top corner and the Rennes keeper making a fine diving save.
47' Early PSG chance! Rennes managed to win an early corner at the start of the second half but PSG cleared the ball and Mbappe broke forward on the counter-attack, Neymar to his left and he just about managed to stay onside, the Frenchman played it to Neymar who took a touch and looked to shoot at goal, but it was well blocked and Koubek gathered the rebound.
46' The second half is underway!
An utterly dominant performance by PSG so far, they have been superb and could have more than two goals here. Neymar and Mbappe combining brilliantly, with the Brazilian getting the first goal early on and then he turned provider for the young Frenchman later on, who doubled their lead. The visitors have had an impressive 14 chances in the first half and more than 70% possession.
45'+1 That's the half-time whistle!
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played here.
44' A terrific run by Neymar, dribbling past a couple of Rennes defenders and he unselfishly passes the ball to Cavani in a good position inside the penalty area, but shot is superbly saved by Koubek, both the first effort and the rebound.
42' Kimpembe is the first PSG player to be shown a yellow card here, for a late challenge on Firmin Mubele as he tried to break forward on the counter-attack.
41' CHANCE PSG! Cavani with a fantastic opportunity to score a third goal for the visitors. Mbappe once again creating the chance, skipping past his marker down the right, he then plays a ball to Cavani who is just a couple of yards out from goal, he tries to flick the ball into the back of the net, but a mixture of Koubek and Hamari Traoré manage to keep it out and clear it off the line.
40' Good save! Koubek is forced to make a save to deny Mbappe, who fired a powerful shot at goal from the edge of the penalty area. The rebound almost dropped to Cavani but the Rennes defence get there just in time to clear the danger.
38' This is much better by Rennes in the last few minutes, they are pushing further up the pitch, putting PSG under more pressure and breaking forward themselves on a more regular basis. The visitors have placed a few stray passes which has helped Rennes get forward, but it is still pretty comfortable for the league leaders.
36' STAT: Paris have lost only two of their last 37 Ligue 1 games, winning 30 and drawing five, the first of the two defeats coming in April 2017 against Nice, and the second very recently at Strasbourg.
34' Good chance for Rennes! By far the best the opportuntity that Rennes have had today but it has taken over half an hour for them to create something. Hamari Traoré with a low ball into the box, which was met by Morgan Amalfitano but his shot goes well wide of the PSG goal.
32' The first yellow card of the game is shown to Hamari Traoré for a late challenge on Neymar on the half-way line, a needless challenge to make and he will now need to be careful for the rest of the game.
30' Good delivery by Neymar from the set piece, perhaps slightly too close to the Rennes keeper who manages to get his fists to it and punch it clear, the balls come back into the area but the hosts eventually clear. However, it is soon coming straight back with Rennes offering nothing going forward themselves.
29' Brief stoppage here as Yuri Berchiche in down receiving medical treatment after a late challenge by Hamari Traoré down the left-wing, he appears to be in a lot of pain. PSG now have a free-kick in a decent position, with Neymar to take...
27' PSG continue to pile on the pressure, especially down the left wing which is primarily the position Neymar has been taking up this afternoon. They've had a couple of corners in succession but they came to nothing.
25' Victory today for PSG will see them move nine points clear at the top of the table, ahead of Monaco who sit second. Meanwhile, Rennes would remain in sixth for now, but Montpellier could overtake them as they play later this evening.
22' Edinson Cavani hasn't been involved too much today, making plenty of runs and creating options for his team, but remarkably he has only touched the ball once! Whilst, Neymar and Mbappe have been constantly on the ball and involved from the start.
20' STAT: Paris have now scored 53 goals in Ligue 1 in 2017/18, their best tally ever at this stage of the competition and level with Monaco's 53 which was set last season.
17' GOOOAAALLL! PSG DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! This time it is Neymar to Mbappe, returning the favour to his teammate to give the visitors a 2-0 lead. Another quick ball into the feet of Neymar, he skips past his marker down the right-wing, into the box and plays a wonderful pass square into the box to a completely unmarked Mbappe, who fired it past a helpless Koubek.
Neymar more than happy to assist with that goal this time, he played a pass with the outside of this right-foot, straight into the path of the sprinting Mbappe who made no mistakes with the finish.
16' An impressive 75% possession so far here for PSG, a sign of the control of this game, it is all one-way traffic and at the moment there only looks to be one winner this afternoon. The pressure is unrelenting.
14' Mbappe and Neymar are looking incredibly danergous here this afternoon, the pace of the two players is really causing this Rennes defence problems. Mbappe stretching the hosts defence and setting up chances for Neymar, but his two latest chances have both been well blocked and not troubled Tomáš Koubek in the Rennes goal.
12' Rennes have lost their last five Ligue 1 games against Paris without scoring a single goal, but have never lost six in a row in the top flight against them.
9' Rennes are really struggling to get a touch on the ball at the moment, they are penned inside their own half, in their defensive shape shifting from side-to-side to try and prevent the visitors from doubling their lead, which would probably wrap the game up.
7' STAT: In 38 previous meetings, Rennes have won 12 games, PSG 17 and eight have been drawn. The home side have it all to do here now, with PSG in complete control and they are looking dangerous everytime they venture forward, they could score a few today.
4' Mbappé had the beating of the Rennes left-back everytime and he showed it on this occasion, the one-two and then a quick sprint in behind, before looking up and playing a perfect pass into the feet of Neymar who simply couldn't miss.
GOOOAAALLL! PSG LEAD! So easy for PSG there, Rennes completely exposed by Kylian Mappe down the left wing, he played an excellent one-two on the edge of the box, then squared the ball across the box to an unmarked Neymar who had a simple tap-in from a yard or so out. Simple and precise.
3' Utterly dominant start to the game by PSG, the hosts barely had a touch of the ball at the moment and the visitors are spraying the ball around the pitch with ease, with Neymar dropping deep to get on the ball and look to create something going forward.
1' We're underway!

The team news is in here, this is how the two sides will line-up this afternoon...
PSG have already broken the 50 goals barrier, with the league leaders well on course to reach at least 100 goals in the league for the season. With a front three of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar all enjoying fantastic campaigns so far, the team will be expecting to go for the treble of league, French Cup and the Champions League, after a disapponting campaign last year.
PSG meanwhile got back to winning ways at the weekend after losing their first matches of the season, first at Strasbourg in the league, then at Bayern Munich in the Champions League. A 3-1 win over Lille at Parc des Princes looks to have got Unai Emery’s team back on track.
The chances of Rennes qualifying for European competition are slim come the end of the season, but so far they certainly look on course to record another top half finish in Ligue 1.
Wahbi Khazri has managed to score an impressive five goals in nine games, while forward Ndombe Mubele has notched four times. A big problem for Rennes’ last season was a lack of goals on a regular basis, which is something they seem to have addressed with 22 goals in their first 17 matches.
Rennes will be full of confidence going into today’s Ligue 1 encounter with PSG as they are now up to sixth in the table, on 25 points after winning three and drawing once in their last four matches.
