Minute   Description
West Brom battle back from two goals down to snatch what might prove to be a vital point against Liverpool. Salah had doubled Liverpool's lead with a chipped effort after Ings' had opened the scoring early in the first half. The Baggies never looked defeated though and took the game to Liverpool, pulling a goal back through Livermore's close range volley before a bullet header by Rondon from Brunt's free kick levelled matters. West Brom ended the half strongly as they pushed for all three points but could not find the winner. The result means the Baggies are eight points behind Swansea, although the Welsh club have two games in hand.
FULL-TIME: WEST BROM 2-2 LIVERPOOL.
90'+2 West Brom snatch possession back in midfield and rush forward. Rondon tries to find Phillips with a cross from the right wing but it is well defended by Lovren. Two minutes left.
90' The fourth official has indicated four minutes of additional time. West Brom are going for all three points here. The Hawthorns is rocking.
89' Jay Rodriguez is replaced by Hal Robson-Kanu for West Brom's final change of the game. Can they find a winner?
88' Brunt's excellent delivery finds Rondon at the near post, who equalises for West Brom.
GOAL! West Brom have their equaliser! Henderson's foul proves to be costly as Chris Brunt swings in a delightful cross from the free kick. It finds Rondon at the near post who powers a header into the near corner and well beyond the reach of Karius.
87' A good run by Burke on the left wing is brought to an end as Jordan Henderson brings him down. Opportunity for West Brom here.
86' Oxlade-Chamberlain crosses from the right, finding fellow substitute Firmino at the back post. The Brazilian has space to to shoot but he can only direct his header wide of far post. It is kept in play by Hegazi though and West Brom come forward once more.
84' Liverpools final change of the game sees Mohamed Salah replaced by Dejan Lovren as Jurgen Klopp looks to shore up his defence.
82' It is end to end stuff now as West Brom feel they can still snatch a point. Neither side have offered much end product to their attacks yet though.
79' GOAL! Chaos inside the box as Liverpool can't clear their lines. A low shot by Dawson from the penalty spot is saved by Karius but the goalkeeper can only parry the ball into the air, where Livermore is on hand to volley in the rebound from barely four yards out and give West Brom a lifeline.
76' Kieran Gibbs is replaced by Oliver Burke for West Brom's second change of the afternoon.
72' GOAL! Mohamed Salah races onto Oxlade-Chamberlain's pass inside the right of the box, chipping a shot over the onrushing Foster and into the back of the net to to match the Premier League record for most goals in a single 38-game campaign. That will surely be all three points for Liverpool now.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finds Salah inside the box with a wonderful through ball, with the Egyptian chipping over Foster to double the Reds' lead.
71' A chorus of boos ring around the Hawthorns as James McClean is replaced by Jonny Evans when West Brom are chasing an equaliser.
69' Phillips once again proves to be a hanadful for Alberto Moreno as he bursts past the Liverpool left-back. Moreno brings him down near the byline though and receives the first yellow card of the game.
66' Sadio Mané is replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after a quiet game by the winger's standards.
Danny Ings is replaced by Roberto Firmino for the first of a double change for Liverpool.
63' Salah drives at the West Brom defence but his shot can only find the legs of Dawson. Liverpool are starting to show a little more intent in attack now.
60' The corner is swung towards the back post once again and the header back towards the centre of the box is cleared away by Liverpool. The Reds can break forward but Salah's pass for Mane is a little too wide, giving West Brom the time to get back in numbers and snuff out the danger.
59' Wonderful run from Phillips as he beats two defenders and gets to the byline. He tries to pull it back for Rodriguez inside the box but it is cleared for a corner.
57' Frustrating for Liverpool so far as they struggle to create anything meaningful in attack. The Baggies are defending well and are really getting in the faces of these Liverpool players, giving them no respite.
54' West Brom are trying to get the ball forward as early as possible to Rondon at the moment which is causing a few problems for the Liverpool defenders. The Baggies have started the half well.
51' Milner has been a nuisance for West Brom's defenders today and again the England midfielder drifts into space on the edge of the box to cross. It has plenty of pace and Dawson gets there just ahead of Ings to clear the danger.
50' Phillips again is the danger man for West Brom as he wriggles away from two defenders on the edge of the box before sliding a pass wide for McClean. He tries a low shot first time but can only drill it far wide of the far post.
48' Salah has space inside the box to shoot but an excellent tackle by Gibbs pinches the ball away from the Egyptian winger. That looked sure to be a goal without the defender's intervention.
46' West Brom get the game back underway.
Liverpool lead at the break after Danny Ings scored his first goal for 930 days after good work on the left wing by Sadio Mane. West Brom have put in a battling display throughout despite the early setback and Jay Rodriguez was inches away from getting on the end of James McClean's pass to equalise. Ings had two chances at the other end to increase Liverpool's lead but headed over the bar when unmarked before firing a low shot at Ben Foster when one on one.
HALF-TIME: WEST BROM 0-1 LIVERPOOL.
45' The fourth official has indicated one minute of additional time.
42' CHANCE! A bit of fortune as Hegazi's tackle on Salah falls straight into the feet of Ings. The forward takes a touch and is rushed into his shot, which is straight at the onrushing Foster. Good goalkeeping from the England man.
41' West Brom are starting to play with a lot more confidence now and it looks like they are beginning to believe they can get at this Liverpool defence. The fans certainly believe it too.
38' CHANCE! So, so close to an equaliser for West Brom. The lively Phillips finds space for the cross on the right, finding McClean at the back post. The winger fires a low pass across the face of goal and Rodriguez is agonisingly close to poking it into the back of the net. Much better from the Baggies.
36' A flurry of West Brom corners comes to an end as Liverpool finally clear their lines. The Baggies keep the ball though and are starting to have a little more joy in attack.
34' There are three West Brom players waiting at the back post but the corner is over the heads of all of them, bouncing straight out for a throw in.
33' Another West Brom corner as James McClean bursts down the left wing and has his cross blocked by Gomez.
31' Liverpool continue to control proceedings here but West Brom have worked hard defensively. They are just lacking quality in the final third to properly test Karius though.
28' Salah is brought down in the final third once more, this time by Kieran Gibbs. It is a little further out this time and Milner takes instead, whipping a free kick towards Moreno at the back post. It is well defended by Allan Nyom in the end.
26' Liverpool get a free kick just outside the West Brom box after Ahmed Hegazi brought down Salah. It's the Egyptian winger to take it and his curling effort is just narrowly over the crossbar.
24' CHANCE! Liverpool create space behind West Brom again and this time Milner whips in a cross from the right wing. It finds Ings in the box in space but the forward can only head high over the bar.
22' A long ball finds Rodriguez inside the Liverpool box. He pulls it back for Phillips, who creates a little space for himself before firing a low effort towards the near post. It lacks the power to trouble Karius though, who collects comfortably.
19' The home fans are playing their part in being the 12th man for this West Brom side. They are cheering every tackle in defence and every attacking move, successful or not, the Baggies make.
16' The corner finds Craig Dawson near the penalty spot but the defender is unable to generate the power to trouble Karius. Jake Livermore tries to flick it on but the linesman flags for offside.
15' West Brom get their first corner after Matt Phillips showed good awareness on the right wing to spin past Moreno and swing in a deep cross, which is cleared at the back post.
12' The corner is swung in from the left but it is easily cleared by West Brom. Straight back to Liverpool though who are in total control at the moment.
11' CHANCE! It's easy stuff for Liverpool at the moment as Salah gets ahead of a defender to drive into space inside the box. He tries to curl into the far corner but there is a vital touch from a West Brom defender to turn it out for a corner instead.
9' Liverpool have settled into proceedings now and are comfortably working the ball around midfield. They know the Baggies will have to come out and play now which will favour the Reds.
4' GOAL! The first corner is cleared for one on the other side and it is taken short. Mane makes easy work of beating his marker and charging into the box, where his low pass finds Georginio Wijnaldum. The midfielder's touch lays it on a plate for Danny Ings to rifle home beyond a helpless Ben Foster into the bottom right corner.
Georginio Wijnaldum took a touch inside the box from Mane's pass to allow Ings to fire Liveprool into the lead.
3' An excellent run by Milner as West Brom are caught out with a pass over the top. The Liverpool midfielder tries to fire a pass across the face of goal but it is cut out at the near post by Ahmed Hegazi for the first corner of the game.
2' Rondon tries to push his way into the box but a heavy touch allows Klavan to cover his run, allowing Loris Karius to collect. Positive start from the home side.
1' Liverpool kick off, playing in all red. West Brom are in their home kit of white and blue stripes.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
Liverpool make five changes to the side that comfortably dispatched Bournemouth 3-0 last weekend. Virgil van Dijk is the only defender to retain his place in defence as Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold all take their place on the bench in favour of Joseph Gomez, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno. Roberto Firmino is also among the substitutes, with Danny Ings taking his place alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in a three man attack. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is replaced by James Milner in midfield.
West Brom stick with the same starting 11 that beat Man United last weekend. Jay Rodriguez, who scored the winner in that game, lines up just behind Salomon Rondon, who is the sole striker for the Baggies.
Liverpool substitutes: Lovren, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Robertson, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Karius; Gomez, van Dijk, Klavan, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Milner; Salah, Ings, Mane.
West Bromwich Albion substitutes: Robson-Kanu, Yacob, Evans, Myhill, Burke, Krychowiak, Field.
West Bromwich Albion XI (4-4-1-1): Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Phillips, Livermore, Brunt, McClean; Rodriguez; Rondon.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Liverpool are expected to rotate their squad with one eye on the tie with Roma on Tuesday but they have the quality and firepower in their squad to cope without their strongest 11. The Reds are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games against West Brom (four wins, five draws), and with their current form they will be strong favourites to continue that run today.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have been in terrific form after six games in all competitions without defeat, including a 5-1 aggregate Champions League victory over Manchester City to set up a semi-final tie with Roma. The Reds are four points adrift of United in second and could keep up the pressure with a win this afternoon.
Any hope of a last ditch escape from relegation looks unlikely for the Baggies but not altogether impossible after that win over United. As well as Liverpool today, they face Newcastle, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in their final three games and will have to win at least three of them to have any chance of staying up.
West Brom defied the odds against Manchester United last weekend to claim a vital three points, but they are still nine points adrift of Swansea in 17th. That victory meant that Darren Moore has already equalled Alan Pardew’s total Premier League wins in just his second game, with Pardew winning only one of his 18 in charge.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of today’s Premier League game between West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
