Minute   Description
What a win for Swansea! Bottom of the Premier League at the start of the game, the three points they've earned lift them out of the relegation zone - at least temporarily - and just three points off Watford in 10th! Narrow margins separate the bottom half of the table. Monreal's opener was cancelled out by a Clucas double and an Ayew strike, following a calamitous display from Arsenal at the back. It finishes 3-1 to Swansea here!
90'+3 The referee blows the whistle for the last time, and Swansea have a famous victory!
90'+2 Clucas has made the difference tonight, and gets a warm reception as he leaves to be replaced by Routledge.
90'+1 Mustafi pings a forward pass straight out for a goal kick. Awful ball. Sort of sums up Arsenal's night really.
90' MISS! Giroud almost pulls one back form close range, but he can't quite meet a deep cross at the near post and it flies wide! It doesn't look like there will be enough time left for Arsenal to salvage anything from this game now.
88' The hard-working Ayew is replaced by Bony for the last few minutes.
86' GOAL! Another comedy of errors at the back sees Swansea increase their deserved lead! Monreal's failed acrobatic clearance allows Ayew in behind to cross into the middle, and the defence make a mess of clearing, allowing Clucas to smash home his second of the night! It's now 3-1 to Swansea!
83' Dyer comes off for Carroll as Carvalhal tries to hold out for the last few minutes.
Arsenal pepper the Swansea box with crosses, but can't quite make the most of them as Swansea hang on.
80' Another great chance is spurned as Monreal's cross is cut out with Arsenal shirts aplenty in the middle.
79' CHANCE! Ramsey produces a lovely flick to release Mkhitaryan in the channel, and his fizzed, low cross flashes across the face of goal, but nobody is there to capitalise!
77' It looks like Giroud is playing up front alongside Lacazette, with Ozil and Mkhitaryan in support of them. That front four have a little under 15 minutes to salvage something for Arsenal here.
76' Giroud replaces Iwobi as he comes on to try and rescue something from this game. Could this be his last game in an Arsenal shirt?
75' Frustration is setting in as Ozil becomes the third Arsenal man to pick up a yellow card.
74' CHANCE! What an opportunity for a debut goal for Mkhitaryan! He had a free header inside the box from Ozil's cross, but his header is caught by Fabianski and the offside flag is raised anyway.
71' MISS! What a miss! Dyer latched onto a loose clearance from Mustafi, before racing into the box and hammering a left-footed strike just off the base of the post and behind!
70' Cech makes a hash of the resulting free-kick, which is swung in to the back post with pace. The keeper gets caught underneath it, however, and palms it behind for a corner instead of catching.
69' Bellerín follows Elneny into the book for Arsenal. The Gunners are getting frustrated here.
67' Arsenal's attempts to force their way through the middle with quick exchanges is proving largely fruitless - they look much more dangerous when working the ball wide. However, Lacazette isn't exactly an aerial presence in the box, so don't be surprised to see Giroud come on for the last 20 minutes.
65' That goal wasn't the ideal impact Arsene would have wanted when he brought Mkhitaryan on. The Armenian has gone out to the left flank, with Iwobi switching to the right in a 4-2-3-1.
61' GOAL! Swansea lead! What a ridiculous goal to concede. Monreal and Mustafi play the ball backwards to Cech, who has three men on him. He tries to pass it out, and it's straight to Ayew, who pokes in from close range! What a crazy goal! Swansea won't care though, they're 2-1 up!
60' Mkhitaryan comes on for his debut! He replaces Elneny, and will hope to inspire his side to victory here.
Bellerin tries to cross low, but it's cut out. He gets a second bit of the cherry though, and his ball to the back post is much better, and forces a corner.
57' CHANCE! Dyer drives well down the right and shows good skill to beat his man, before Cech comes out to claim his low cross.
56' SAVE! Swansea can't clear as Arsenal play some nice passing in and around the box, but Ozil's eventual shot is tame and Fabianski is relatively untested.
54' Elneny gets a silly booking for handball, his arm came out and blocked Fer's attempted pass.
53' CHANCE! Bellerin whips in a wonderful cross, but Van der Hoorn gets to it just ahead of Lacazette and clears behind for a corner. Xhaka meets it, but can't direct his effort on target.
51' MISS! Clucas meets a cross with his head from just inside the box, but it bounces narrowly wide of the target. It never really looked like testing Cech.
49' Some neat interplay on the right breaks down as Clucas gets a foot in, but he can only clear to nobody and Cech recycles possession.
47' Arsenal's passing looks more purposeful at the start of this second half, although the tone is very much the same - Swansea have everyone back defending.
46' And Swansea kick off at the start of the second half!
Swansea will perhaps feel unlucky not to be ahead at half time, having had the better chances and looked far more threatening in this first half. However, having said that, Arsenal will feel very disappointed to have let their lead from Monreal's strike slip so quickly, conceding almost immediately to Clucas. It's 1-1 at half-time, and the Gunners will need to show far more in the second period if they are to win this game, while Swansea simply need to be more clinical in front of goal.
45'+1 Swansea play it forward, but the referee blows his whistle for the end of the first half.
44' MISS! Ozil and Iwobi work the ball well on the left, before feeding Xhaka on the edge of the box, but the midfielder's first-time strike is wild and way over the top of the bar.
42' Olsson gives away a pointless foul, pushing Bellerin over on the right when the right-back had nowhere to go. The resulting free-kick looks dangerous, but Fabianski can claim eventually.
40' CHANCE! Fer nicks it in midfield and drives at the Arsenal defence. hey back off to the edge of the box, but his side-footed shot is tame and doesn't trouble Cech. More sloppy play from Arsenal though.
38' Arsenal knock the ball around in Swansea's half, but they will be more than happy to let the Gunners have it in front of them. Elneny then crosses straight out of play from the right.
34' Mawson has looked threatening pushing out of the back three at times, and he showed good ball-playing ability there to pick Clucas out in the final third.
GOAL! Swansea equalise almost instantly! It's sloppy defending from Arsenal as Mawson slips Clucas in behind, and the midfielder tucks a left-footed shot in at the near post to restore parity! That's so poor from Arsenal - they can't have been ahead for more than 60 seconds!
33' What a ball from Ozil, who is having a stellar season. He's stepped up to be Arsenal's best player this term.
GOAL! It's that man Monreal again!! Very much against the run of play, Ozil swings in an absolutely fantastic ball to the back post, where Monreal ghosts in to stab home! It's 1-0 Arsenal, and Swansea will be ruing their wasted opportunities.
31' CHANCE! Another swift Swansea counter sees Ayew scuff a long shot wide of the post from outside the box, when he had team-mates in good positions. Swansea have been the better side by far in this first half, but they've been wasteful in the final third.
30' SAVE! Fabianski is forced into a diving save at his near post as Iwobi wriggles free of his marker and unleashes a fierce left-footed strike! However, the former Arsenal stopper is equal to it and parries it behind for a corner.
27' CHANCE! Elneny is forced to put Van der Hoorn's cross from the right out for a corner, before Mawson then wins another as he curling strike is deflected behind! Swansea still looking threatening, but unable to convert their chances as of yet.
25' An excellent passage of play on the left breaks down as Iwobi undoes all his hard work with a woeful cross to nobody on the edge of the box. Swansea then break quickly again, but Koscielny intervenes with a fantastic sliding interception.
22' A good move from the left breaks down after a heavy touch from Lacazette in the box sees the ball run away from him, allowing Fabianski to gather.
21' While Swansea are getting men behind the ball out of possession, they are enjoying time on the ball in short spells, looking to keep itl where they can.
18' Predictably, Arsenal's best move of the game comes through Ozil, who exchanges some neat passes as he drives through the heart of the defence, but Swansea recover just in time to hack it clear.
17' MISS! Ki tries his luck from outside the box, but his fizzing strike flies just wide of the post! Not a bad effort from the South Korean.
15' TACKLE! Swansea counter again and Clucas gets into the box behind Koscielny and Mustafi, but Elneny makes a superb sliding tackle inside the box, nicking the ball away just in time! The hosts look the more likely to go ahead.
14' Arsenal with a lot of harmless possession in the middle third of the pitch, but they can't quite find a way through Swansea's two banks of white shirts.
11' Arsenal press high and win the ball back, but they can't find a way through a stubborn, organised Swansea side who get back in numbers as soon as they lose the ball.
8' BLOCK! How are Swansea not ahead?! Dyer plays a neat one-two on the right and crosses low for Mawson, who is lurking at the back post! He looks certain to tap into an empty net, but Ramsey gets back to make a vital sliding block and keep the scores level! Jittery start from the Gunners here.
7' CHANCE! Arsenal lose the ball in Swansea's half after another spell of possession and a quick break through Dyer sees Ayew take a shot at goal that has to be blockied away for a corner! Swansea looking very dangerous on the counter.
3' Arsenal have a spell of possession, but a loose pass gifts Swansea the ball and they break quickly, before Clucas' low ball from the left is hacked away in the centre.
1' Some risky early passing between Mustafi and Koscielny cedes possession, but Swansea are forced to go backwards with it and the pair aren't punished.
And Arsenal kick us off here at the Liberty Stadium!
Arsenal scored four goals in the opening 22 minutes of their last Premier League game against Crystal Palace – nine of their previous 10 goals in the competition had come after half-time.
Arsenal's away form has been very poor this season, having won just three of their 12 Premier League away games so far. The last time they’d won as few on the road this far into a season was 2005-06, earning their fourth away win in their 15th game. However, the Gunners have won four of their last five Premier League away games against the Swans, losing the other in November 2014 (1-2).
It has been all change for Swansea in a managerial sense since reaching the top flight - Carvalhal will be the seventh different Swansea manager that Wenger has faced in the Premier League in just 14 meetings.
Furthermore, the Gunners have only lost one of their last 34 Premier League games against the side starting that day bottom of the table (W27 D6), losing 4-3 at Blackburn in 2011. They have also scored in all six of their away Premier League games against Swansea - only at West Brom (12) and Birmingham (7) do they have a better 100 per cent record.
However, the Swans have lost four of their last five Premier League meetings with Arsenal - winning the other - and have been beaten in the last three.
Carvalhal has steadied the ship at Swansea since taking over, having lost just once so far and remaining unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions. However, they start the evening bottom of the Premier League table despite a confidence-boosting 1-0 win over high-flying Liverpool in their last league game.
Visitors Arsenal have bounced back with successive wins over Crystal Palace and Chelsea after a run of poor form that saw them fail to win in five games in all competitions, and will look to succeed where Liverpool failed and make it three on the spin here.
Just three Swansea players retain their places following their disappointing 1-1 draw at Notts County in the FA Cup. Alfie Mawson, Mike van der Hoorn, and Leroy Fer are the only survivors as Carlos Carvalhal makes eight changes. Renato Sanches misses out due to a hamstring issue picked up in that game, but Federico Fernandez is welcomed back into the side.
Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck miss out through injury, however, as Arsene Wenger makes just two changes to the team that beat Chelsea 2-1 last time out to reach the EFL Cup final. Aaron Ramsey takes Wilshere's place in midfield, making his first start since returning from injury, while Petr Cech is restored in goal for David Ospina, who drops to the bench.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is named in the Arsenal squad for the first time since joining from Manchester United, and could well make his debut tonight. Olivier Giroud is also included on the bench, despite speculation linking him with Chelsea amidst the impending arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal substitutes: Mkhitaryan, Giroud, Ospina, Chambers, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Nketiah
Arsenal XI (4-3-3): Cech; Monreal, Koscielny. Mustafi, Bellerin; Xhaka, Elneny, Ramsey; Iwobi, Lacazette, Ozil
Swansea substitutes: Bony, Abraham, Narsingh, Nordfeldt, Carroll. Routledge, Bartley
Swansea XI (5-4-1): Fabianski; Olsson, Mawson, Fernandez, Van der Hoorn, Naughton; Clucas, Ki, Fer, Dyer; Ayew
