Minute   Description
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
What a dramatic end to the game as Doucoure scores late on to give Watford a point thanks to a goal which clearly came off his hand. Southampton are furious that the goal was awarded, they managed to throw away a two-goal lead and have had to settle for a point. Watford were superb in the second-half, the changes that Marco Silva made worked well and they managed to clinch a draw.
FULL-TIME: WATFORD 2-2 SOUTHAMPTON
90'+5 That's the full-time whistle. What an end to the game at Vicarage Road!
90'+3 Another Saints change, with the goalscorer James Ward-Prowse being replaced by Joshua Sims.
90'+2 Late substitution by Southampton, with Dušan Tadić coming off and he is replaced by Sofiane Boufal.
90' Cédric is shown the yellow card for protesting the awarding of the Watford equaliser.
The low cross came into the box by Troy Deeney, which was converted by Doucoure for his seventh goal of the season.
GOOOAAALLL WATFORD! Shocking defending from Southampton, they have conceded in the last minute of the 90! The cross comes into the box from the left-wing, it evades all of the Saints defenders and falls straight into the path of Doucoure who stoops to head the ball past McCarthy and into the back of the net to make the score level. However, looking at the replay it appears that Doucoure got the ball into the back of the net with his right hand, but the officials didn't spot it.
There will be a minimum of five minutes of added time played here.
87' Dušan Tadić is the latest Saints player to be shown a yellow card, as the visitors try to slow the game down as much as possible.
85' We're into the final few minutes here at Vicarage Road now, can Watford come from behind to take at least a point from the game? Saints have defended well in this second half since Gray scored, despite their heavy pressure, Watford have struggled to carve open many real goalscoring chances.
83' Watford are throwing players forward in numbers now in search of a late equalising goal. They are playing very direct, pumping long balls forward to Deeney and Okaka, but Saints are comfortably dealing with all the pressure at the moment.
81' The Saints keeper is now shown a yellow card for time wasting.
79' Oriol Romeu is shown the yellow card for a blatant block on Okaka.
78' Defeat for Watford today would make it seven defeats in their last eight Premier League games, leaving them just five points away from the relegation zone.
76' Watford look like they are going to go more direct now, after the introduction of Okaka who is playing alongside Deeney up front. It could be an interesting last 15 minutes here at Vicarage Road!
73' Watford make their third and final change of the afternoon, with Andre Gray being replaced by Stefano Okaka.
Both sides are struggling to keep hold of the ball at the moment, possession is constantly switching back and forth, so neither team are able to create any real momentum going forward.
72' STAT: Abdoulaye Doucoure has scored in both of his Premier League games against Southampton, including his first goal in the competition in March 2017.
69' This is better from Southampton, they have managed to calm the game down and take the pressure of their defence by venturing forward themselves. There is still plenty of time left on the clock for more goals here.
67' STAT: Mauricio Pellegrino played for Liverpool in a 1-0 win at Watford in the League Cup semi-final second leg on 25 January 2005.
64' Ryan Bertrand is down injured at the moment, he is receiving treatment after a coming together in the box. The left-back is now wearing the Saints armband after the departure of Davis.
63' Southampton make their first substitution of the game, with the captain Steven Davis heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Mario Lemina.
62' The hosts are piling on the pressure now, throwing players forward and really stretching this Saints defence who don't look overly assured at the moment. They need to calm things down, get on the ball and start to string a few passes together once more.
60' The goal has really livened up this home crowd now, their team are playing much better and are finally starting to cause Southampton some problems of their own at the back.
58' GOOOAAALLL WATFORD PULL ONE BACK! Andre Gray heads the ball into the back of the net from just a couple of yards out. Janmaat fired a shot at goal which was pushed onto the crossbar by the Saints keeper, it then fell straight to Gray who powered his header past McCarthy. The comeback is on!
55' Better from Watford! Pereyra goes close with a drilled effort from the edge of the area, after good build-up play by the Hornets down the left-wing. However, McCarthy watches it go wide of his post.
52' As it stands, Southampton would move up to 14th in the Premier League table and just two points behind Watford in the standings. Saints look comfortable at the moment, with Watford struggling to create any chances to pull a goal back.
50' Marco Silva is trying to push his side forward, in search of goals to get them back into this game with two strikers on the pitch. However, this could help Southampton out, as they have looked dangerous on the break.
48' STAT: Watford have conceded 24 goals at Vicarage Road in the Premier League this term, the most of any side at home.
46' Watford have made a change at the break, with Ben Watson being replaced by Troy Deeney.
The second half is underway!
Southampton have looked very good on the ball, dominating possession and have scored two well worked goals, both coming through James Ward-Prowse. Watford have been poor, they will need to make huge improvements in the second half if they are to get anything out of this game.
HALF-TIME: WATFORD 0-2 SOUTHAMPTON
45'+1 That's the half-time whistle!
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played here.
44' Tadić made the run into the box and he could've gone for goal himself, but spotted Ward-Prowse making the run to high right and played a perfect ball straight into his path, with the midfielder finishing with ease.
GOOOAAALLL SAINTS DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Ward-Prowse the man with the goal once again! It’s a fast counter-attack from the Saints, with Long using his pace to sprint past his marker, he squares the ball to Tadic in the box, he then lays it off to the onrushing Ward-Prowse who fires his shot underneath Gomes and into the back of the net. Superb finish and Saints lead 2-0!
42' STAT: Watford have had 14 different Premier League goalscorers this season, a joint-league high with Arsenal and Chelsea. The club Premier League record for a single campaign is 15 in 1999-2000 and 2016-17.
40' Not long left on the clock until the half-time whistle, can Watford pull a goal back before the break? Or, will Saints continue to dominant and double their lead. They have certainly had the better of the chances here.
37' Decent chance! Watford had a free-kick just inside their own half, which Watson pumped into the penalty area, it was met by a completely unmarked Christian Kabasele, he powered a header at goal but it went just over the Saints bar.
35' Watford have been forced into making their first substitution of the game early on here, with Tom Cleverley coming off injured and he has been replaced by Roberto Pereyra.
33' CHANCE SAINTS! Huge opportunity falls to Long to double the Saints lead. Tadic crosses to the back post for Long, he takes a touch and then tries to pass into into the net, but Marvin Zeegelaar throws himself in front of the shot from six yards to send it wide. Terrific tackle!
31' Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is shown the first yellow card of the game for his late tackle on Cleverley as he looked to break forward on the counter-attack.
29' Watford are the only team in the Premier League to have won more games away than at home this season. They are going to have to come from behind today if they are to take any points from this game.
26' CLOSE! Wesley Hoedt runs with the ball and with no Watford players coming to close him down, he spots Gomes slightly off his line and goes for goal from around 40 yards out. It is a good effort, just starting to dip under the crossbar when Gomes managed to tip it over the bar.
25' It's all Southampton at the moment, you can see the confidence that the early goal has given them and Watford are starting to sit deeper and deeper.
23' The goal has really kicked Southampton into gear now, they can sense another goal if they continue to play their good football, as Watford look shaky at the back. Long has a chance from a header, he forces a good save from Gomes after a deep cross into the box from Dusan Tadic.
20' GOOOAAALLL! SAINTS LEAD! James Ward-Prowse with the goal to break the deadlock here at Vicarage Road. It came just moments after the chance for Watford at the other end of the pitch. Saints broke forward at pace and got numbers into the box, Long tried to go for goal himself but was pushed too far wide and he looks up and spots Ward-Prowse in space around the penalty area, he takes a touch and then just side-foots the ball past Gomes into the bottom corner of the net.
19' CLOSE! Daryl Janmaat powers a terrific first-time shot at goal after the ball fell to him on the edge of the box, after a long build-up by the hosts. His long-range effort forced Alex McCarthy into a diving save to tip the ball over the bar. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
17' STAT: Southampton's only Premier League away win this season came in September against Crystal Palace, they have drawn four and lost five away from home.
14' Better from Saints! Long gets into a good position, deep inside the Watford penalty area and he fires a shot at goal from a tight angle, which is well blocked. However, the ball falls to a Saints man again, a cross is whipped into the box and eventually falls to Cedric Soares unmarked on the edge of the box, he takes a touch and then fires a shot at goal. However, his effort goes high and wide over the crossbar.
13' It's all pretty flat at the moment, from the crowd to the pitch with neither side looking like they are going to create any goalscoring chances. Far too many sloppy and mistimed passes by both teams in the middle of the pitch, so possession is constantly going back and forth.
12' Head-to-head: Watford's only win in the past eight top-flight home matches against Southampton came in December 1999. There have been 34 goals scored in the last eight meetings between these sides at Vicarage Road in all competitions, 19 for Watford, 15 for Southampton.
10' Much better by Watford, Tom Cleverley has been able to get on the ball in the last few moments and shape the Hornets play going forward and get Andre Gray involved, who has barely touched the ball so far.
8' Watford are struggling to string a few passes together here, with Saints looking comfortable and forcing Watford to chase the ball around the pitch, along with putting heavy pressure on their opponents when they do manage to nick the ball back. Still no real chances to open the scoring here.
6' STAT: Saints could remain winless in 10 consecutive Premier League fixtures for the first time since November 2004 to January 2005.
3' Chance Saints! The ball falls perfectly to the feet of Long deep inside the Watford penalty box, after sloppy defending from the hosts. The striker just had Heurelho Gomes to beat, but the goalkeeper rushed out of his goal and made an excellent save. However, it wouldn't of couldn't anyway as the linesman had his flag up for offside.
2' Southampton enjoying the early possession here, they are playing the ball nicely around midfield and making Watford chase after the ball. Shane Long bright already here and causing the the Hornets defence a few problems.
1' We're underway!
The teams are out here at Vicarage Road and kick-off is just minutes away! Stay tuned for all of the match action.
TEAM NEWS: Following their FA Cup triumphs last weekend, there have been a couple of changes for both teams. Marco Silva makes three changes to his Watford side as Watson, Richarlison and Gray come in for Capoue, Pereyra and Deeney. Meanwhile for the Saints, Pellegrino has mixed things up at the back by replacing Bednarek and Yoshida with Soares and Hoedt, while Tadic comes in for Boufal further up the pitch.
SOUTHAMPTON SUBS: Forster, Lemina, Boufal, Gabbiadini, Pied, Bednarek, Sims.
SOUTHAMPTON (4-2-3-1): McCarthy (GK); Soares, Stephens, Hoedt, Bertrand; Hojberg, Romeu; Ward-Prowse, Tadic, Davis (C); Long.
WATFORD SUBS: Karnezis, Prodl, Mariappa, Deeney, Holebas, Okaka, Pereyra

The teams news is in, here is how the two sides will line-up this afternoon...
The hosts will be boosted by the return of captain Troy Deeney, who is back available in the Premier League for the first time since serving a four-match ban. Whilst for the Saints, Wesley Hoedt, Cedric Soares and Jeremy Pied have all returned to training after injuries and could be involved. today, but Charlie Austin remains out with a hamstring injury.
Watford won the reverse fixture 2-0 at St Mary's in September when Abdoulaye Doucoure and Daryl Janmaat scored, which was this was the visitors' only victory in the last six top-flight meetings between the two.
Southampton are winless in their last nine games, a poor run which has put a lot of pressure on manager Mauricio Pellegrino. They are outside the relegation zone, but only on goal difference as they have 20 points, the same as Stoke.
Despite their strong start to the season, Watford have struggled with only one victory in their last nine games which came against Leicester City on Boxing Day. However, they have dropped just two places in the Premier League during that period. The Hornets sit tenth on 25 points in the table, however, Stoke who occupy the first relegation place in 18th position, have only five points fewer.
