Minute   Description
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
A thoroughly dominant performance for the entire 90 minutes for Atletico Madrid here over Las Palmas. They opened the scoring after just two minutes, thanks to a goal from Kevin Gameiro. The visitors then doubled their lead through Saul's, before Gameiro scored another to make it 3-0. Thomas then made it four midway through the second half, before Fernando Torres made it five in stoppage time. An excellent victory for Atletico in their battle to finish third in the table.
90'+2 That's the final whistle!
90'+1 Filipe Luis played an inch-perfect ball into the path of Torres, who makes no mistakes with the finish.
GOOOAAALLL! TORRES MAKES IT FIVE! The icing on the cake for Atletico has Fernando Torres nets his sixth league goal of the season and wraps up a throughly dominate performance by Atletico. Filipe Luis played a great ball into the box, just in front of the keeper and Torres slotted the ball into the back of the net from close range.
90' There will be a minimum of two minutes added time played here.
89' Yellow card Thomas Teye Partey
87' As we enter the last few minutes of the game, it is still Atletico dominating the game and the Las Palmas players just look they want to hear the final whistle now to end the game before it can get any worse.
85' Another positive that Atletico would like to take from the game is a clean sheet, this is always a confidence boost for the defenders and goalkeeper ahead of a vital game.
83' Corner to Las Palmas as Jese takes on Koke down the right wing and wins the set piece. The corner is played short to Roque who fires a shot at goal but it is blocked and goes out for another corner. This set piece comes to nothing.
81' Atletico are controlling possession of the ball, making Las Palmas chase shadows. Since scoring their fourth goal, the visitors have slowed the pace of the game down. This is the perfect preparation for their Champions League game against their Madrid rivals on Wednesday.
78' Atletico are in complete cruise control at the moment as we head into the final 10 minutes of the game here at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The victory is well and truly wrapped up for the visitors and the hosts look short of ideas.
75' Now it is Las Palmas who make their third and final substitution of the game, with Hernán Santana coming off and he is replaced by Javi Castellano.
Plenty of home supporters are starting to make their way towards the exits now as Atletico lead four-nil and the pace of the game has completely dropped off.
72' Ángel Correa did well to beat his marker down the left wing, then look up and pick out Thomas with a perfect ball, with the youngster making no mistakes from close range.
GOOOAAALLL! IT'S FOUR! Thomas Partey has scored his first goal of the season and Atletico's fourth goal here tonight! Correa got to the byline and pulled the ball back for the incoming Thomas who slotted the ball under the helpless Varas. Terrific goal.
71' Here comes the third and final Atletico substitution of the game. Antoine Griezmann is the man coming off as expected, he is replaced by Ángel Correa.
70' It looks like Jese is the player who is now playing as the central striker for Las Palmas. However they will surely struggle to create many chances now.
68' Las Palmas make a substitution of their own now, with Tana the player coming off and he is replaced by Mateo Ezequiel García.
67' Atletico make their second substitution of the game with José Giménez coming off after his clash with Boateng looks to have left him slightly groggy. A good idea to take him off and give him a good chance of playing in midweek, he is replaced by Thomas.
66' This could turn into a huge defeat for Las Palmas now as they have to play the remaining 25 minutes or so with a player less. They have performed better in the second period, but haven't really caused the Atletico defence or Oblak too many problems or looked like scoring themselves.
65' RED CARD! Kevin-Prince Boateng is sent off! The striker has been shown his second yellow card of the game for a clash in the air with Gimenez. The referee immediately reaches for the yellow card and gives Boateng his marching orders. Not too many complaints by the Boateng or his teammates.
64' Now it is the turn of Las Palmas to make their first substitution of the game and it is a surprising one with Alen Halilović then man coming off and he is replaced by Jerónimo Figueroa Cabrera.
61' A yellow card is shown to Gaitán for a late challenge on Jese down the right wing. The resulting free-kick is a poor one and Atletico easily clear the danger.
58' Atletico make their first substitution of the game and with one eye on the Champions League game in midweek, Kevin Gameiro is the man to come off and he is replaced by Fernando Torres.
56' Another yellow card is shown to a Las Palmas player for simulation in the penalty area. This time it is Halilović who throws himself to the floor after seemingly no contact from any Atletico defenders. The referee shows no hesitation in giving the free-kick and showing a card to the Croatian.
55' Greizmann had an excellent opportunity to fire a shot at goal, after a delightful lay off into his path by Gaitan. However the Frenchman tries to pass the ball into the path of Gameiro instead, who is looking for his hat-trick. Las Palmas read the ball and can clear the danger.
53' GOOD SAVE! Oblak is forced into making a smart stop to deny Halilovic from the edge of the box. The winger turned and fired a low shot at goal, which didn't look to be heading on target, but Oblak thought otherwise and scrambled across his goal, to tip it wide.
50' Los Rojiblancos have played nine league games on the road since the turn of the year, winning five and drawing four. It looks like they have wrapped up another victory here tonight. It is an uphill battle for Las Palmas to get back into this game.
48' OFF THE POST! Gameiro should have his hat-trick! Greizmann beat the offside trap and ran through on goal, then played the ball square across the box to the onrushing Gameiro who saw his effort cannon against the post and away from danger. What a great chance that was.
46' The second half is underway!
A first half which Atletico dominated from start to finish. They opened the scoring after just two minutes, thanks to a goal from Kevin Gameiro. The visitors then doubled their lead through Saul's header, before Gameiro scored another to make it 3-0 after just 18 minutes.
45'+1 That's the half-time whistle!
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played here at the end of the first-half.
44' The visitors are dominating possession here in the final couple of minutes in the first-half. The Las Palmas players are chasing shadows at the moment, with the home supporters voicing their frustration.
41' Less than five minutes to go here until half-time at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The scoreline remains three-nil to Atletico and so far they have controlled this game, looking very comfortable.
39' Powerful run by Saul, sees him dribble past several Las Palmas players and into an attacking area, he then plays the ball to Gameiro, who tries a lob pass back to Saul. However the execution of the pass is poor and Varas can easily gather the ball.
37' Atletico are enjoying a good spell of possession after dropping the tempo of their play in the last 10 minutes or so, which allowed Las Palmas to get forward more and create goalscoring opportunities.
35' Jese forces Oblak into making a decent save. The winger looked like he tried to pull the ball back into the box for a teammate, but his pass was deflected by Gimenez which turns it into the path of Oblak, who had to get down quickly at his near post.
32' DIVE! Jesé is shown a yellow card for simulation in the penalty area. The winger drifted inside and cut past Gimenez but he then throws himself to the ground, appealing for a penalty. However the referee is having none of it and shows Jese a yellow card.
31' The resulting free-kick is lofted into the box and David Garcia manages to get a glancing header to the ball, however there is not enough power behind the effort and Oblak gathers the ball.
Stefan Savić picks up a yellow card for a late challenge, which results in a free-kick in a decent position for the hosts. The Atletico defender will now miss their next league game, which is at home to Eibar.
29' Las Palmas are certainly getting into better positions now and are enjoying more possession, however they are failing to test Oblak and it is all pretty comfortable for Atletico right now.
26' CHANCE! Palmas have their first goalscoring opportunity of the game! Dani Castellano fired a low shot at goal from the edge of the box, after a good pull-back from Alen Halilovic, however the left-backs effort was straight at Jan Oblak who makes a comfortable save. Either side of Oblak and that could have been troubling the Atletico keeper.
24' This is the perfect preparation for Atletico here tonight, ahead of their trip across Madrid on wednesday, a good performance and it looks like they have wrapped up all three points here already after just 20 minutes played. Diego Simone may now be thinking about making a couple of changes in the second half, in order to keep his side fresh and prevent any possible injuries to key players.
21' The home crowd are not at all happy with the performance for their team here, they have been second best in everything so here tonight. Atletico look like they could score everytime they venture forward.
18' Gaitan put the ball on a plate for his teammate who slotted the ball past Varas to make it 3-0!
GOOOAAALLL! THREE-NIL! Kevin Gameiro slots the third Atletico goal into the back of the net after less than 2-0 minutes played. Gaitan released Gameiro through on goal, with just Varas to beat and he made no mistakes with his finish. Atletico have dominated this game, as Las Palmas have failed to turn up here.
17' Koke was the man to whip the ball into the box and Saul made no mistakes with the terrific header.
GOOOAAALLL! ATLETICO DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Saul with a thumping header! The corner came into the box and Saul rose above Bigas are fired a header straight into the top right-hand corner of the net. Varas had no chance of saving that. Brilliant start by the visitors.
14' Saúl is the first Atletico player to receive a yellow card, for his late challenge on Tana who was looking to break on the counter.
Las Palmas were 3-2 winners the last time these sides met in the 2nd Leg of a Copa del Rey tie in January. However, Atleti had previously won all of the previous five meetings and still progressed in that tie.
11' Prince-Boateng is the man to step up and take the free-kick, however his effort is fired straight at the wall and Atletico can clear the danger fairly easily.
10' This is much better by Las Palmas, they have recovered their shaky start to the game and now have a corner. The set piece is cleared as far as the edge of the box, before Greizmann brings Roque Mesa down around 35 yards from goal. Good opportunity for a strike at goal.
8' CHANCE! Greizmann tries his luck from long range. The Frenchman was allowed far too much time on the edge of the box and he lined up a shot, which was low and forced Varas into making a decent save. Excellent start by Atletico here.
6' An early yellow card is shown here to Kevin-Prince Boateng for a horrible challenge, he is perhaps lucky to only be shown a yellow card for that tackle.
5' Las Palmas sit in a comfortable 13th position in the La Liga table, safe from relegation and just one point behind Valencia. Whilst Atletico are third, but are level on points with Sevilla and they sit 13 points behind Real at the top and 10 behind Barcelona.
2' Saúl did well to work time and space down the left wing and get a good ball into the box for his teammate, who made no mistake from close range.
GOOOAAALLL! ATLETICO LEAD! Kevin Gameiro has given the visitors the perfect start here! Saúl Ñíguez put a low cross into the box and Gameiro made sure he got ahead of his marker, to tap the ball into the back of the net after just two minutes. Great start!
1' CHANCE! Savic forces Javi Varas into making a good save just one minute into the game! The corner came in and Stefan Savic rose highest, firing a low header at goal which forced Varas into a smart stop.
Atletico go on the attack straight from kick-off! Antoine Greizmann already causing the hosts problems here and Atletico look eager to take an early lead to ease the pressure on themselves.
We're underway!
The teams are out here and the Estadio de Gran Canaria and kick-off is almost upon us. Stay tuned for all of the match action!
ATLETICO SUBS: Moya, Alberto, Tiago, Thomas, Cerci, Correa, Torres.
ATLETICO (4-4-2): Oblak (GK); Gimenez, Savic, Lucas, Filipe Luis; Gabi (c), Koke, Saul, Nico Gaitan; Greizmann, Gamerio
LAS PALMAS SUBS: Momo, Betancor, Garcia, Exposito, Lizoain, Simon, Lemos
LAS PALMAS (4-5-1): Varas (GK); Macedo, García (c), Bigas, Castellano; Hernán, Halilovic, R. Mesa, Tana, Jesé; Boateng
The hosts could be missing a few of their key players, as both Jonathan Viera and top scorer Kevin-Prince Boateng are injury doubts. Without the duo in midweek, they failed to score against a poor Leganes team. With Marko Livaja also suspended, they could be without their top three goalscorers this term.
Las Palmas have lost four of their last six matches during which time they have recorded just one win, and wednesday night saw them lose 3-0 at relegation-threatened Leganes.
However, Atletico know they are in a battle for third place with Sevilla and automatic qualification to the group stages of next season's Champions League is a big prize.
Atletico suffered a rare home defeat in midweek when they lost 1-0 to Villarreal. They may now have one eye on their Champions League semi-final first leg next week against Real Madrid, so they may rotate their side here, perhaps giving their opponents a chance to take something away from the game.
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the La Liga clash between Las Palmas and Atletico Madrid.
