Adelaide Strikers defeated Melbourne Renegades by 26 runs to secure a home semi-final in the Big Bash League thanks to Colin Ingram's big-hitting and one of the most memorable catches in the competition's history.
Ingram made 68 and formed a match-winning partnership of 88 with Travis Head (58) to help the Strikers post 173-5 from their 20 overs, Alex Carey contributing 32.
Dwayne Bravo (2-30) led the Renegades' wicket-takers but was unable to contribute with the bat during a faltering run chase.
The all-rounder was out for four to an extraordinary catch involving both Ben Laughlin and Jake Weatherald.
And Bravo was not the only Renegades batsman to struggle. Opener Marcus Harris (25) and Tom Cooper (24) were among five specialists to fail to build on starts, while Brad Hodge (30 not out) was left stranded when the hosts ran out of overs to finish on 146-7.
The victory guarantees Adelaide a top-two finish and home semi-final ahead of a final match of the regular season away to reigning champions and title rivals Perth Scorchers on Thursday.
INGRAM GOES BIG TO END LEAN SPELL
Ingram had made scores of just four, three and 15 in his previous three BBL innings, but he emphatically returned to form here, finding the boundary ropes four times and clearing them on five occasions to anchor the Strikers' innings.
Successive maximums over square leg and then midwicket off Kieron Pollard (1-20) lit up the 18th over.
And another six over midwicket followed in the penultimate over, Ingram's dismissal to a Cameron White catch off Bravo coming too late to limit the damage inflicted on the scoreboard.
LAUGHLIN, WEATHERALD COMBINE FOR STUNNING CATCH
Bravo caught the eye when he come out to bat without a helmet and wearing a bright gold watch, but that bold entrance was overshadowed by the extraordinary manner of his dismissal.
The West Indies star tried to dispatch Rashid Khan over long off but Laughlin reached the boundary in time to launch himself into the air and flip the ball back behind him before tumbling over the ropes.
His awkward throw somehow reached Weatherald, who clung on to send Bravo back to the sidelines, with the Strikers raucously celebrating one of the moments of the season.
